Still can’t find the right door lock pulls, the closest I can find are these:

Link to door lock pull knobs

I’ve bought some because they are close in look and date and should do me until we found out what they should be…

Only one lighter in my car. Amazingly the cigarette lighter is available in my local Motaquip shop for a couple of pounds – identical except for the profile of the knob itself…which I know is quite significant.

I think it has a Motorola, but without the illuminated Lagonda badge…correct model though – 707?

I spent a good while last night looking for the correct lock pushes, I found the words ‘lock knob’ worked well. I’m inclined to think they are from a Mercedes – they seem Germanic in style… Surely they weren’t purpose made for AM?

Why replace something which doesn’t need replacing, a new loom is no advantage unless the old loom is damaged…or am I missing somthing?

Old looms are quite reusable as long as they have not been exposed to sunlight, excessive heat or corrosive chemicals. I plan to reuse mine which, with the exception of some connections is in very good condition.

Interesting heat shield in c and d, mine doesn’t have that – where is it fixed? The louvres might not be too bad – hard to tell until the vermiculite is removed…

Looks like an addition choke has been fitted. I don’t recognise some of that wiring so I assume it’s to do with the Auto box. Hopefully there will be no reason for you to have to remove your dash, the wiring behind mine looked like new as well – very neatly installed…just what I like!

Hi Simon, doesn’t look too bad in there, at least it’s been dry and sheltered. I guess you’re planning to remove the engine and rebuild then deal with the engine bay? You may need to put in new louvred sections – how do they look?

Hi David, the splined / treaded part of the hub has a diameter of 2?”, the base plate which mates with the disc has a diameter of 5″.

If you ever need to separate the disc from the hub I can tell you a way of doing it….
