    Yes door drain holes would have been nice! The original colour of my Rapide was much nicer than the subsiquent colours it was painted in the 70’s…it will be nice to revert it back.

    I’m sending my actual bumpers off to Harringtons (never to be returned) so they will have a set to copy. I will let you know how they turn out – the price is non negotiable – I tried! If it makes you feel any better I am partly subsidising any subsiquent sales as I am paying a bit more to send my bumpers off.

    What about hub caps though – the more orders the better!

    Interesting that this manual conversion has floor mounted pedals (DB5 style) rather than bulkhead hung (as mine is), maybe the work was carried out after production of the Rapide had ceased?

    Well spotted! It will be interesting to see how much it goes for.

    It wasn’t good and it’s a shame they chose a non standard LR (if there is such a thing) for the article. But it is publicity…

    Just as an update. The milage reads as 35K, which needs to be verified. The original colour was a light aquamarine blue… The boot had some useful spares – Original Solex refurb kit x 2, Girling servo service kit x 2, some paperwork, jack with AML paper tag and other stuff (including spare cabin carpet!).

    Hi, thanks for the link Peter. Uploading images onto any web forum is certianly not easy at the moment. Uploading an image as an attachement has restrictions in size but is the simplist way initially. The best way is to have an account on a photo website such as ‘Flickr’ or ‘Photobox’, this is an online store for your photos. Each photo when stored online has a code which you can insert when you click the ‘Image’ icon when composing your thread (message). So it looks something like this before you submit (but without the gaps);

    [ img ] http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5286/5335793147_3bd7087261_z.jpg [ /img ]

    It is complex but when you have done it once it is fairly straight forwards and more enjoyable / user friendly for everyone.
