I attach a few pictures of the loom, in very good condition, very surprised. Will remove every connector where possible and clean and remove verdigris and oxidation, or where required replace.

Have inspected a lot of spade contacts behind the dash-board and very impressed at how dry it has been in there.

Looks like an addition choke has been fitted. I don’t recognise some of that wiring so I assume it’s to do with the Auto box. Hopefully there will be no reason for you to have to remove your dash, the wiring behind mine looked like new as well – very neatly installed…just what I like!

Thats very interested, given your car sat outside for 25 years and the wiring was still fine, thats a big plus point not having to worry about re-wiring and new loom etc……

Extra wiring for auto-box, immobiliser etc.

I guess that you will be checking all connectors and spades and replacing where needed etc ??

More pictures, this time, passenger side electrics, also very clean, and heater/cold air piping in as new condition again.

Old looms are precisely that – old! In fifty years, there have been very many advances in this department. Since you are giving her a full restoration, why on Earth keep the old loom (save for very important reference)?

Old looms are quite reusable as long as they have not been exposed to sunlight, excessive heat or corrosive chemicals. I plan to reuse mine which, with the exception of some connections is in very good condition.

Just because one can do something does not mean that it is sensible or prudent to do so. The words of several old adages spring immediately to mind. :

Why replace something which doesn’t need replacing, a new loom is no advantage unless the old loom is damaged…or am I missing somthing?

IMHO, your premise is entirely misconceived. But, we’ve been this way before and I have no wish (or intent) to be offensive or didactic. It is your car, after all.
