I am certainly intending to convert the brake lights, tail lights, side lights and indicators to LED they are so much more noticeable in daylight conditions. However, I rarely use my 16/80 at night and would prefer to keep the headlamps as original. I may be strange but I dislike the look of the LED bulbs because they look odd in the P80 headlamps.
Richard Branch27 November 2020 at 09:03 #53221I stand corrected chaps, I’ve never been in one so I shall look forward to that experience one day! 😀
Richard Branch18 November 2020 at 18:37 #53215I really like the DB Lagonda Rapides. One has to view them as luxury saloons in the vein of Bentleys rather than GT cars like Astons. This one was displayed at Kensington Palace a part of the Aston Martin centenary event in 2013.
Richard Branch16 November 2020 at 15:22 #53209Doh… Okay, what type of Lagonda is it? It’s not a registration number (as far as I can tell) and I don’t believe there wasn’t a Lagonda Type LR 127 so I just wondered… Is it Lagonda Rapide chassis no 127? :p
Richard Branch13 August 2020 at 07:32 #53180Out of interest, what were the modern enhancements you mentioned back in 2017? I’m considering LED side lights, indicators and brake lights. Anything else?
p.s. which car is it that you are testing?
Richard Branch16 July 2020 at 10:57 #53178So it is. When they colourised the photo they forgot to colour the cockpit to match the gun aimer’s bubble. Perhaps when looking at the B&W image they didn’t realise it was part of the aircraft.

Richard Branch8 July 2020 at 20:05 #53172Have you also asked on the Lagonda Owners Group on Facebook? https://www.facebook.com/groups/1732053427018573/
Richard Branch9 May 2020 at 22:03 #53140Thanks for the responses, I found a supplier on eBay and at ?25 I bought two just in case another ever gets cracked. 😀
Richard Branch14 February 2020 at 22:52 #53117Hi Bill, out of interest, because I want to do the same on my 16/80, what folding screen did you use? Was it from a 2 litre?
Richard Branch8 November 2019 at 20:29 #53098I have since heard that it sold for ?104,000 by Bonhams and that Prestige & Vintage sold it for approaching ?200k
Richard Branch7 November 2019 at 16:51 #53095How much did it sell for at Bonhams Goodwood Auction? Their website simply says sold without stating an amount.
Richard Branch11 September 2019 at 16:43 #53060Hi Bill, I am not a 3 Litre aficionado so should I take it that this is non-folding screen?
I own a 16/80 which has a screen the opens from the bottom and the idea of a fold down screen rather appeals to me but by the sound of it that’s exactly what you did to your 3 Litre too.
Rgds Rich…
