I thought I’d raise this event again as it is in 2 week’s time and there will probably be some Lagonda action on the hill. I will be there on Sunday 14th. Anyone else going?
Richard Branch2 June 2019 at 22:18 #53026Would you also want to promote this event on my Aston Martin Facebook page?

Or search for Aston Martin Feltham Enthusiasts. It’s a group for owners of Astons and Lagondas built in Feltham so that’s the David Brown Lagondas.

Richard Branch30 May 2019 at 21:52 #53024Well done David, must get mine tested. Tend to do it every 18 months or when I remember!
Richard Branch12 April 2019 at 15:32 #53010They look attractive but to be honest when we do a picnic we use a modern cool-box for the food and an empty wicker hamper for a tablecloth, cutlery, wine glasses etc. We’ve got several old hampers including a Fortum & Mason’s one that looks rather posh.
Richard Branch13 March 2019 at 13:18 #52998Well done David, I must try to get across to one of your meets this summer. Rgds Rich…
Richard Branch22 February 2019 at 11:55 #52986Hi Ted, as well as joining the Lagonda Club (which I also strongly recommend) there is a healthy Facebook Group (if you do Facebook) where you can also ask for advice and assistance. Look for the Lagonda Owners Group. Is it a closed group which means you have to request to join but with 376 members there’s lots of well informed people to offer advice.
Richard Branch10 January 2019 at 17:36 #52967Hi Mark, thanks for your advice and I agree, it may be easier (for the time being) to modify my existing seat back. It does have an arm rest so I’m ok on that score!
Regards
Rich…Richard Branch23 October 2018 at 15:39 #52917Received, many thanks Chris. Now to get cracking on it. 🙂
Richard Branch19 October 2018 at 17:46 #52913Thanks for all the advice chaps, it’s appreciated. Sounds like I simply need to remove it one wet Saturday and spread the parts out on the kitchen table! A job for when my wife is visiting her mother in Somerset… There is a tin of waxed string among the spares I inherited with the car, perhaps this was intended for the Ki-Gass pump?
Richard Branch19 October 2018 at 10:11 #52907There is zero resistance in the pumping action so there is almost certainly no petrol being pumped. When I first got the car 3 years ago you could feel the fuel being pumped after a few pumps but now it just feels empty. I haven’t worried too much because the car starts ok.
Richard Branch18 October 2018 at 21:36 #52904Can I revive this thread from 2011 and ask if anyone can point me to instructions on how to rebuild my Ki-Gass pump? My 16/80 starts very easily without priming but as the pump is there I would like it to work even if it seems I don’t need it! Thanks Rich…
Richard Branch17 October 2018 at 16:04 #52892Hi David, I may be wrong but I think the original idea of only having one fitted with the solenoid was that the driver’s headlamp dipped and the nearside headlamp remained fixed ahead. Compared to today’s laser beam, piercing white lights I don’t think they would dazzle anyone anyway!
Richard Branch12 October 2018 at 18:56 #52885Like you both, I have a full collection of receipts, invoices and paperwork relating to my car but I am recording Bessie’s Log, as I call it, in a Word document o my PC. This, of course, does not allow one to draw diagrams and handwritten notes so I think your journal book is a great idea Chris.
p.s. with a core of Lagondas in Maidestone, I can see I will have to make an expedition east one of these days to join one of your pub meets! 😀
Richard Branch12 October 2018 at 18:49 #52884Indeed, I would also recommend you join the Lagonda Club. I belong to a number of car clubs and it is one of the best. The pool of knowledge amongst its members is remarkable.
