This plate has reappeared on eBay so I guess the owner didn’t buy it last time…
Richard Branch30 June 2018 at 13:34 #52834Well I see my last post was over 2 years ago but I just fitted my nicely working clock which I have sprayed the chrome bezel satin black and it looks excellent. I have also finally had fitted a proper S Smiths MA oil pressure and temperature gauges and a nice Joseph Lucas ammeter. All looking very good now.
Richard Branch9 April 2018 at 18:37 #52729Hello Hugo, if you “do” Facebok there’s a thriving Lagonda Owners Group with many knowledgeable people contributing. If you are not averse to FB it’s worth joining and asking the question. Not that I am trying to divert traffic away from this forum, indeed several of us are contributors to both.
Richard Branch9 February 2018 at 21:59 #52661Just stumbled across this thread again while searching for something else on Google. Yes I did eventually purchase a 16/80 but not this one.. 😀
Richard Branch11 January 2018 at 17:17 #52630Welcome back Jaunty. I don’t have any ideas on cars for sale but if you are on Facebook it would also be worth joining the Lagonda Owners Group and asking there. There’s a very active group of Lagonda people there. Rgds Rich…
p.s. found this at what looks like a reasonable estimate but at 1921 I guess it’s too new?
Richard Branch5 January 2018 at 21:31 #52620Well Keith, the segue to get you back on topic is, of course, the fact that the Lagonda works in Staines is now a giant Sainsburys !
Richard Branch30 September 2017 at 19:25 #52497It would be good if he did and enjoyed the car for some time…
Surely through the network of people we all know someone can enquire?
Richard Branch30 August 2017 at 20:23 #52469With regard to ethanol my understanding is that only Shell V Power is low on ethanol, and even Shell claim between 0% and 5% ethanol for that these days.
p.s. do be careful yourself when handling Tetraboost.
Richard Branch29 August 2017 at 07:53 #52465I’ll throw my hat in the ring on this one David and say that I don’t use it. I asked around when I got my Lagonda and general advice seemed to be that when the engine in my 16/80 was designed it didn’t require lead. That plus the low mileage our cars do suggested to me not to bother. I will be interested to hear what others think.
Richard Branch10 August 2017 at 22:10 #52452Hi Colin, it’s a Z Type box, I’ve put some pictures on the Lagonda FB page. Cheers Rich…
Richard Branch3 August 2017 at 13:15 #52437Thanks Mark, that’s on the list of jobs, it’s just that today it became more noticeable…
Richard Branch2 June 2017 at 10:42 #52397Hi Michael, this is a great place for detailed information, there are some very well informed experts here. Also, and especially as I see you are in Australia, there is a Facebook group which was started by a group of Australian Lagonda owners, although it has a worldwide membership now. If you do facebook you may want to join that too as it’s a good place to share photos and exchange a few lighthearted topics, there may even be some owners near you. Just search for Lagonda Owners Group.
Richard Branch19 May 2017 at 13:33 #52386Hi – also I don’t know if you use Facebook but there’s a thriving group on there with several very clued up people, just search for Lagonda Owners Group.
Rgds
