Charlie, I have a Celeron idler gear that appears to have never been used.
Also lots of other V12 spares, unfortunately none itemised above.

Brian, I believe polished alloy was the finish of most cam covers. Some were done in black enamel, possibly at the buyer’s request.
I base this opinion on having lived for about sixty years with eight V12s.

    David, Simon,
I emailed George Hobbs, the last known owner according to older Club registers.
The car is still in his garage in Adelaide. He made no further comment.

Did the dhc in Monaco on eBay finally sell?

Just returned from 3 weeks in a camper trailer in Central Australia: sheer bliss no internet and only occasional telephone.

I do not know this car but will do some research when I have time.

Simon’s drop head sale at Bonhams AM was great news to return to.

    Hi David,
as the vendor of 155 last year, can you please tell me what WS stands for, and what the implications might be if it is still there in the heritage
    area.
Thanks, from a long way away.

Fellows, can I refer you to the Club magazine #213, an article written
by Tony Tostock, AML service engineer 1950 to 1963, who accompanied the Prince and the 3 litre to Australia when he opened the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956.
I was too young to recall, however my dad is the bloke posing a question, whilst other photos show his 2.6 saloon, the saloon he bought for his partner, and my mother’s 2.6 drophead.
(It is snowing on my farm in northern NSW as I write.)

A mighty achievement in three years Christian.
Having been there, I am glad you are aware of the task before you fixing the interior lighting.

    Hullo Ken,
I have dismantled the hub carriers that I bought from Ivan Forshaw (Aston Service Dorset) in 1969. the offside inner flange is perfect, the outer is missing one half of an inner tooth.

Having never mastered the art of putting a photo up on this forum – despite Peter Schirg telling me how to years ago – I will send photos if you wish to your email address.

    Regards,

    Hi Ken,

I have the parts, but will need to dismantle to check the condition of the teeth.

Will do so in the next day or two,

    Regards,

Christian, my car is away at the paintshop, however the runs to the master cylinders seem correct – I will check next time I see the vehicle.
If you come across the alloy reservoir caps please let me know. Mine were corrode and fused to the reservoir.
I am just ordering two bumpers from Thao at Harringtons, they seem very obliging.

    Christian,
I look forward to your opinion of the results of the finished product.

My #155 has been at the panelbeater for a couple of weeks now; enough time to reveal modest rust in the wheel arches and door bottoms (evidently they never thought of drilling holes to let accumulated water out) but the body is totally sound.

The true original colour (green) has been revealed by removal of the boot number plate surround and it is far more pleasant than the part-faded colour showing when we bought the car in 1969.

    Hi Christian,

I might be in need of a new front bumper; would you be interested in splitting a set, along with the cost of course?

    Dear Tim, David et al,

My Rapide, 155, is off to the painters today.
It still has its original paintwork; BRG/Goodwood Green/?

Does anyone know its original colour code so that the spraypainter can get it absolutely right – and to save him time doing the research? (BTW in my opinion the colour does not do the car justice, however originality is of paramount importance.)

    Regards,
    Mark.
