Sorry, been away 2 weeks and just seen this thread. I had a close look at 155 because a friend from previous work was interested (he has an X-pack and an NP Vanquish) but sadly he was too big for the car, at 6ft7. I think whoever bought it got a good deal, but I suspect its history did not count for much in the end, and maybe patina and originality were negatives on this occasion. I’m afraid I don’t recall if either car was bought in the room (3 digit number) or by phone (4 digit). I share others’ views that the fleet buyer bought neither car, having enough…also interesting that none of the previous correspondents signalling potential intent here have chirped that they have bought either car. In any event the sale might tend to confirm that 133 has so far been priced rather ambitiously, and it will be interesting to see how 101 is priced.
David4 June 2014 at 13:32 #50846Hi Simon, which gearbox? If 4 speed manual, it’ll be the DB box from DB4 surely. Where is the car advertised, do you know?
David26 March 2014 at 18:59 #50766Modelled on 138 perhaps? Although Is the number plate real I wonder
David24 March 2014 at 16:29 #50761To ?40K for the car perhaps add ?20K for the number plate FLD1, can’t be transferred off the car without an MOT from memory
David10 February 2014 at 20:01 #50677Sorry ambiguous comment by me: the largest assortment of AM&L in Paris is under the Parc, as well as Ferrari, Maser, Jensen, RR&B, American cars, historic French, German, all sorts. One of 5 or 6 such stores around the city, fabulous!
David10 February 2014 at 18:45 #50675Thanks SRD for your observations on the car, any idea of the buyer’s ID? I agree Paris is a wonderful city, I used to visit for work every week 1998-2006 approx. Trust you stayed somewhere suitably extravagant for your anniversary, on which congratulations! It’s also a place where you can regularly see AM and Lagonda Wedges parked on the street but the largest collection of these is in the private car park under one of the Parcs
David9 February 2014 at 18:13 #50669Has anyone seen 128 in the metal, especially underneath, to help judge if 160K Euro was fair? Only 5 of the original 6 LHD Rapides survive (i.e not 104), plus at least one converted later. Located in CH, OZ, US, FR, KWT in chassis order
David3 February 2014 at 19:17 #50660Christian, many congratulations on a very excellent result of all your hard work. Now to enjoy driving the car! I’d be particularly interested in your views of performance with manual gearbox, can it be driven as distinct from motored?

David21 January 2014 at 15:53 #50648For mine to move forward I have to slightly lift up the front of the seat…
David21 January 2014 at 07:42 #50646Gravity! And alignment of frame and support, plus tucking the rear of the squab under the seat-back
David19 January 2014 at 12:08 #50644I don’t recognise them as part of the picnic tables hinge mechanism. Something to do with front seat runners? E.g. end stops. Sorry no joy with that piece of door trim
David13 January 2014 at 17:47 #50622Christian, are you able to help an AMOC member on the DB Newport Pagnell who’s asking about wiring in the indicator/dipper switch on a DB5?
