IT’s about time someone posted in the DB section…here goes.
After 29 years in storage Jim and I have started the restoration of our DB Rapide. During that time rats or mice have had a nice meal of the wires behind the dashboard.
We wonder if anyone has or knows of a wiring diagram for this moel. The handbook that came with our car when we purchased it in 1969 is for a DB5 Aston.
Regards,

Super to hear that you are moving forward with this one at last. Any chance of posting some photographs of her, please?
On the wiring diagram front, I will have a little rummage about in my collection of ‘stuff’ and see if I have anything that might help. I will also ask a good friend of mine, who has a Rapide, whether he has one.
So far as I am aware, no handbook for the Rapide was ever made available – too few, perhaps, at 55 vehicles.
All the best,
Tim
Christian25 November 2013 at 12:29 #50542I’ve been working on a Rapide wiring diagram by updating a DB4 diagram in line with what I have found on my Rapide. Interestingly the DB4 diagram refers to ‘saloon’ for the rear interior lights. The wiring is approximately the same for the DB4 and Rapide but the Rapide has a different fuse arrangement plus a few other minor differences. Colours generally do not match what is shown on the diagram but they may have varied anyhow…
David13 January 2014 at 17:47 #50622Christian, are you able to help an AMOC member on the DB Newport Pagnell who’s asking about wiring in the indicator/dipper switch on a DB5?
