Dear Kelly, thank you for your interest. The car is still available, and is currently being brought up to perfection by Phil Bickers at Classic and Vintage Vehicle Engineering. I could not find your e-mail address or profile, so could you e-mail me at tncovery@yahoo.co.uk. Thanks for your help. Christine.

When ever I have had to adjust a front axle,I use washers under the back of the axle and simply add or subtract different thicknesses to suite.Once happy with the result I then make the wedges.

I have an LG6 Saloon I wonder if anybody knows where I can get suitable windows rubbers, those that are pressed into crom surrounds and exclude the draught.

Thank you all for your reply.I am sorry not to have acknowledged before.I would like to fit one if any are available as these heavy saloons do roll on corners and I think a roll bar would help.

I have wonder if one fits the higher ratio to my LG6 if there would be an improvement in fuel consumption.I get about 17MPG on a 500 mile journey.

I cannot understand why people have vintage cars and then want to make them modern by putting Landrover parts in the clutch.I have driven 2 Litre Lagondas all my life and if the clutch is set up properly it is first class and has never given me any trouble ,in fact it is most robust.I do agree that one gets a much better change with the clutch stop let almost off.Half the fun of driving a vintage car is to get to know it’s ways and how to master them.Gear changing on the 2Litre is great fun when you get it right and that only comes with use and familiarity,so please do not ruin your car by changing it from the original.Sorry about that Julian

The 2 Litre is very particular as to the hardness of the plugs,if they are to soft the car will misfire in a most dramatic way.You will be pulling nicely up a long hill and suddenly the power will fade followed by banging back through the carbs .This is due to the plug tips becoming incandescent and firing off at will.I suggest a harder plug ,I use NGK A8.Hope this sorts it out

I have replaced all the seals on my jackall system on my LG6.Martins Rubber Co were first class and most helpfull. They made several sizes because each jack seems to be slightly diffent ,I suppose due to age.The whole job was not more than 70pounds including some spare ones.
I do not agree as to thier effectivness.Iwas in France last year staying at a hotel and when I came out to drive away the left rear tyre was flat.
A military gentleman who was standing by was amazed that I was able to jack the car up change the wheel in less than 5mins.Later in the autumn I was driving to Folkestone on the motorway and was in a hurry and therefore driving fast when the offside front wheel deflated very suddenly I wa able to pull over to the hard shoulder and stop.It was a very dangerous position. However there was nothing for it but to get on with and between one heavy lorry passing within feet of me every few seconds I changed that wheel in 4 minutes and was very thankfull for the jacking system that worked perfectly. So I am a great fan of them and if you use themevery few weeks they should be OK
