The car was known to the club from ca. 1969, and with the same owner, along with the 3.0 litre for ca. 54 years.
Looks to have had a fair amount of money spent on it, and will be interesting what it sells for. I would imagine not to many of the 12.9 cars are seen at auction ?
SRD3 September 2013 at 21:08 #50337Peter hi,
Well spotted, missed this detail in an otherwise interesting car.
I am curious why after an expensive rebuild, ceramic sealant would have been used to repair some external cracks to the block ?
SRD3 September 2013 at 21:04 #50335The link has now been updated with a few more photo’s, a handsome car !

Reg.no. PJ 7475

Estimate is ?15-20k
I have viewed the car before, and I am happy to pass my notes onto anyone who might be interesting in viewing / buying this car.
SRD19 August 2013 at 13:48 #50312Thanks for all the comments about this car, what a shame that the current owner prefers to remain anonymous and let this car rot away from the bottom upwards.
Perhaps a phone call to the publishers of PC, might be a way forward, to gain further details for those interested in taking this further ?

SRD15 August 2013 at 13:26 #50309A Rapide in high 2 condition, is currently having a privately brokered sale at ?180k….
SRD13 August 2013 at 16:34 #50303This car I have been informed is a James Young bodied saloon (18018) FYO 385.
SRD11 August 2013 at 06:50 #50298I see Cumberland Grey didn’t make it in the end. A wise choice going back to period color. how close a colour palette match is the SSG on 108 to that from the works ?
The body looks excellent – wonderful work.
