Let’s hope that the problems with their server don’t impede good prices for the cars they are selling online. new end date of 17th May.
At the moment it doesn’t look like you can bid.
SRD5 May 2021 at 10:47 #53295Updated their site again it seems, an excellent result with premium and VAT, grand total of ?167,400.
A decent price given the market place and the strange venue to place the car at
SRD4 May 2021 at 14:47 #53293Just checked on Anglia car Auctions website, the car is unsold.
Browsing through the online catalogue, there are currently a large number of unsold cars.
SRD28 April 2021 at 17:09 #53291Looking at the pictures of LR153 underneath, it clearly needs cleaning and a good seal coating to protect it.
I wonder if the market will support decent prices, with three Rapides all becoming available in such a small window of time?
Of the three cars, my choice would be LR127, even though it needs the Whitehead box.
SRD18 April 2021 at 14:09 #53287If I didn’t know better, I would say this badge has been patinated with specific chemicals to give the idea of age; the three fixing studs to the reverse do not show signs of age or any distortion or damage.
But then again, this is just my opinion and I could be wrong. Caveat Emptor
SRD18 April 2021 at 14:05 #53286I finally clicked on the interior colour, not one I could live with.
Did you notice Automobile this month issue, page 22, Brightwells have LR151 re-entered by our mutual friend for their May auction?
I am unsure why it isn’t placed in the hands of a good dealer who will get the correct market price, whatever that may be at the moment!
SRD16 April 2021 at 13:44 #53281This particular example of a Rapide can only be described as gorgeous.
SRD8 April 2021 at 20:15 #53276A strange place to sell such a rare car and in seemingly very nice condition.
MOT history shows lots of regular use over the last ten years.
Currently on SORN
SRD8 April 2021 at 11:08 #53274Where will it be coming up for auction please David?
:}Best wishes

SRD9 May 2018 at 20:27 #52758DVXH6A is the base unit with part numbers 40125E or F. These denote model year as 1956 or 1957.
This is a standard AM DB2/4 dizzy, very easy to obtain. best to hunt a little to get a good price and of course a flame thrower.
If you look back through the posts on 2.6/3.0 litre cars, I think your Portugal car has been mentioned before some years ago.
SRD7 May 2018 at 14:21 #52755You are looking for a regular AM DB2/4 dizzy – Ignitor model for the VB6 engine
Original Lucas DVXH6A unit with part numbers 40484, 40125F, and 40264
See:
http://www.astonservicedorset.com/pertronix.html
If you go with one of these kits, check what is stamped on your dizzy.
A more sensible price for the same item is below There are plenty of other sources of course,
http://www.retroclassiccarparts.com/ignitor-lucas-dvx6a-electronic-ignition-kit
Don’t forget you will also need the flame thrower kt as well. These are both readily available, worth checking around for best price on the net.
A new set of points and fresh coil always works wonders of course
SRD29 April 2018 at 16:21 #52752Please look on the Club Spares list on the web-site, they have a key item you are looking for:
Lower sump casting (ENGV02)
Also worth giving them a call about your other items, very helpful people and super quick posting.
The V12 owners manual come up from time to time on eBay
Perhaps an advert in Club Monthly Gazette might flush out some more parts and it is free
