Just some little background about the Lagonda Football Club. For the football fans under you.

Staines Town FC was founded in 1892 and was known under various names including Staines F.C.,Staines Albany F.C., ‘Staines Lagonda F.C.’, and ‘Staines Town F.C.’, until it folded in 1935. However prior to World War II the club re-formed as Staines Vale.

In 1953 Staines Town were founder members of the Hellenic League, where they finished runners-up in 1956. In 1958 they joined the Spartan League and won the title two years later. After finishing second in 1971, Staines Town advanced to the Athenian League, where they won the Second Division title at the first attempt, amassing a record number of points.

Hi Colin,

Thanks for the photo. I think thats the most pretty picture of that car as it in his transformation period. I surely think that it was the best sollution putting this Hillman body on the saloon chassis. Looking back on the oldest picture of the 12/24 there wasn’ t a lot left a the Lagonda. Congratulations of your work and resque a fine Lagonda

Yes a 12/24 KK has been made. And quite late according to see this numbers of chassis and engine

It’ s hard to see from pics what it is. In fact I didn’t realise a 12/24 KK survived. So I had a go for the 11.9. I knew about the badge, but always thought it was replaced by the years, not realissing to be a late KK model So thats why I was thinking wrong about being a 11.9.

i love to see more pics of course.

Hi Colin, Peter and all readers.

I was very carefully about the year…. 1926 seems to be closer, when we look at the chassis numbers. Chassis number 7206 (one of the two surviving R models) was made in late ’25 but sold in ’26. What made this a 1926 car. This red Saloon has chassis number 7517. The number plate of the S model was RU1310 Does anyone knows when this was registred?

By the way great barnfind picture!

Besides this 12/24, there is also a 11.1 for sale in the states (BK2371)

It’s for sale already for some time.
It’s a late ’25 or early ’26 car and last surviving 12/24 S (saloon). So a very rare one. It has to be treasured.
I wonder who will be the next owner.
