Yes, that?s exactly my thought. On the same wavelength. It looks so typically Lagonda and yet might be entirely unrelated.

Hi David, I have experimented with batteries for my LG45 and found that the quality ?out there? seems to be variable. However, in 2015 I fitted a pair of 404/19 102Ah Classic 6V Best batteries and they have been excellent. Still providing plenty of cold cranking amps although this winter I needed an extra battery pack to start it when the temperature was just above freezing and it had been sitting for 2 months. That was probably asking a bit much though as I still had thick summer oil in the sump.

Not cheap so check the dimensions fit your setup.

I?ll give it some more thought but at the moment I?m thinking that a drive on lift like the Automech one is the least I?d trust for the LG45.
I need a bigger garage really but Mrs B not keen to move. 🙁

Sadly, no room for a 2 or 4 poster.
I think lifting the Lagonda is a non-starter tbh, but I have managed so far with drive on ramps and axle stands so am resigned to that. I think the EZ job will be fine for my smaller cars though; mini, Morgan, DB6, etc and the 660mm lift would make brake and suspension work considerably easier. I like the idea of the casters to allow a way of pushing the rig against a wall on one side to give more clearance on the other. I rarely need full access all round. If I need better access I thought I could use the EZ lift outside of the garage as well.
When this lockdown business has passed I need to go and see some of these in use before I commit.
Back to the LG, that car really needs a drive on lift like this

I could just about fit that in but it would be in the way most of the time.

Now I understand. No, my car didn?t have one of those. Mine is an early S1 body number 12054 and I don?t have a gap for things to fall through.
Unless you can gain access to it to retrieve anything that dropped through I?m not sure I see the point in such a thing. Personally, I?d close the gap up instead.

Hi David, my LG45 is stored 8 miles away at the moment and I can’t go and take close-up photos for you.
