Hi, A problem with my Starter Bendix. It keeps sticking in, so I have to get under and free it back.

I can not find any grease point or other lub. place.

Do I need to replace a part if so what?

Hi Michael,

Apologies if you have already tried…. but if you put “Bendix” into the forum search engine, there is a post by PeterS30 from April 2020, which you might find useful.

Hi DCW,

Yes, I have seen PeterS30’s post and have printed it off.

However, it does not answer my problem, is a part worn and needs replacing or is it something I have to live with?

Have you tried removing the starter motor and cleaning everything? I had my starter off last winter and I am pretty certain that there is no lubrication necessary.
