Having got my 16/80 back from some TLC at Bishop Gray I am beginning to use it more. On a short stretch of motorway near me I was going at an indicated 57mph with around 2,750 on the rev counter (both indications an approximation because of the needles shaking) – I wouldn’t want to cruise at more than 60mph so I am thinking of 3,000 revs. as my limit. Also can you draw any conclusions on the ratio of the rear axle from this – I suppose I could do the maths if I knew the rolling circumference of my tyres. Off to Goodwood tomorrow so that will be a nice 65 miles each way with hopefully good weather. :}
