An update for anyone who may be interested. It turns out that the bolts on the engine side of the fabric coupling were just too short to make contact with the nylon locking part of the locknuts which means they worked loose. Once one was loose the vibration shook the others loose quite quickly. Fingers crossed the only visible damage is the adjuster for the clutch brake which was bent. It should be a simple job to straighten that or make another as it’s just a threaded rod. I post this so that anyone taking a look under there might want to check that the bolts run right through the nyloc nuts (or aerolock nuts) or at least check them for tightness.
