“My 1934 M45 didn’t run well and quickly overheated. My pre-war specialist found out that the current magneto (BTH CE6 on the intake side) cannot be set to the correct timing because the gear ratio is 1:2, while according to the specialist, it should be 1:3. Does anyone have experience with this? Could it be that this magneto is not suitable for this engine? Or is it possible to adjust the gear ratio? Are there perhaps other gears available for purchase?”
