    Peter hi

Perhaps wishful thinking at ?70,000 for FLD1..

My take on it is slightly different. It was the most expensive car by a long way in terms of auction estimate, yet everyone who might be interested in the club knew about it..

    So what happened ?

A white knight rode up on his charger and paid the asking price ?.

I imagine that the owner and auction house were given a substantial bid above the lower estimate to close the sale ?

What a shame that the sale price will now not be known !

It might have been a no-sale, but I think not, given how crazy “barn-find” or totally good cars which have been allowed to rot have been making…

Just suggestions, and no doubt I will be proved wrong…

Reading through Classic Car Weekly, it appears the auction and owner received a substantial six figure bid for the car……
