Can anyone recommend a good radiator repair and rechroming service – preferably in the south of England ?

There is a very good radiator restorer in Cambridge. Anglia Radiators, Unit 4, Stanley Road, Cambridge CB5 8LB
Telephone 01223 314444 . They have done lots of Lagonda radiators, including my 16/80 one which I am very pleased with.

I can also recommend a polisher/plater who has done lots of Lagonda radiator surrounds. Again, I am very pleased with his work. Anyone who wants his contact details, send me a private message.

Hi Folks,

I have just picked up two 16/80 radiator shells from the polisher. Both have been beautifully restored and re-plated. They cost several hunderd pounds each to bring them to this condition. Also bear in mind that an M45 radiator has 18 slats and at about ?25.00 each that’s another ?450!

Tim restored and polished the shells and then sent them to an independent plater for the copper and chrome plating.

Tim also does lost-wax castings.

And I can recommend a chap in Holland who made a perfect new thermostat with arms to operate the slats on my radiator.
