Ah yes, I recognise that car (spoke with the owner on Saturday) and its front bumper spacing is similar to mine. BTW Christian how can you tell there’s no rear window demister as the aperture for the fan inlet is clearly visible in the rear parcel shelf?

There are no vents on the parcel shelf so foot / bum warming only…

As David says, what about the aperture in the rear parcel shelf?

The round hole is the intake for the Smiths heater.

The reaction of some of the motoring press to the AML auction, on C&SC today:

    http://www.classicandsportscar.com/news/classic-car-auctions/aston-jet-makes-millions-as-rapide-stuns-bidders?utm_source=Silverpop&utm_medium=EMAIL&utm_campaign=CLS%20email%20newsletter%2021%20May%202013%20(1)&utm_content=header_article_1

Headline: Aston Jet makes millions as Rapide stuns bidders

“Yet more surprising was the ?147,100 paid for a Lagonda Rapide four-door saloon (one of only 55 built), which had been estimated to make just ?60-80,000.”

The standard of writing is unimpressive to say the least…

What round hole? There is a slot in the rear parcel shelf, from which hot air emanates.

Oh ok, so there are two vent slots either side of the speaker grill – I just can’t see them in the photo. How’s your car coming along Tim?
