Hi, I am a new member looking for a Rapide.
LR 113 seems on sale….has anybody any information on that car?

Hi Dirk, welcome to the forum. Where did you see LR113 for sale? I found an ad here but it’s from 1997. If it’s still in the same condition or better then it sounds quite good – seems to have had major restoration work carried out…

Hi Christian and Dirk, yes that’s LR113, owned by an ex-member of the Lagonda Club. It is also illustrated in Arnold Davey’s Lagonda book (1999). Records show it was restored 1990-1992 and was sold at auction in 1998

Dirk,
I have recently seen this car – I was quite interested myself. Bodywork is still in quite good condition, but engine seems up for major repair job. Some other parts (e.g. rear shocks) are also in need repairs or some solid maintenance work.
I will be pleased to tell more if you are interested.

Why did you let this seemingly gorgeous car slip through your hands, or was it already sold ?

BTW, I really do think a Rapide looks fabulous on wire wheels…

There is no reason to bleed, use a plaster.

But, seriously, next time you hear of one, buy it, don’t wait for others to jump in.
