Hello everyone,
I am trying to hunt down any information and ideally obtain a modern high resolution photo of a Lagonda LG 45 Works car, registration DPE 120, chassis number 12061.It was owned by my Grandfather and I have a photo of him driving it at Silverstone (I believe) many years ago.
The last reference I can find to it was when it was for sale at a dealer in Belgium in 2009 – you can see the vehicle here : http://www.marreyt-classics.com/autosdetail2.cfm?ID=171
I’ve tracked down some historical information on it and it’s partner DPE121 which was seen in 2012 at Le Mans Classic http://www.flickr.com/photos/furtives/7561060316/ after what looks like some restoration after it was for sale in 2010 : http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/classic-car-page/86475/1935-lagonda-lg45/
Any information on it’s current whereabouts would be fantastic.
Thank you,
Toby.

best point of contact, would be Lagonda owners club.
If you email me, will give you the contact details.
They will no doubt have a history file on the car if it was known to the club.
Kind regards
Simon

JulianToby Jennings28 September 2012 at 15:42 #49683Hi Simon, I’ve sent an email via the forum, I hope you receive it OK.
Thanks also Julian. I’ve heard back from Lagonda Club Limited who advise the owner is no longer a member of the club and they believe the vehicle was last in Monte Carlo, so I’m still looking.
I’ve had some feedback from both Marreyt and Lukas Huni dealerships who have sold the vehicle in the past and have not given up yet.
Lastly, I found these great photo’s of it’s sister car DPE121 during it’s recent restoration by Stanley Mann Racing – the next best thing to seeing DPE120 for me. http://www.stanleymann.com/showcar.asp?ID=73
Thanks again everyone.
Toby.
