It appears I may be required to do this on my rep to get an FIA technical passport. I had been promised help on this 30 years ago but it never happened. Any and all information or sources are appreciated.
Excuse my ignorance but “to the rear” of what?
The stock position of the shifter is about one foot toward the front of the car from the transmission. The 2 team cars had it moved toward the rear of the car and is mounted on top of the transmission.
This photo show my car with the shifter in the production position. The earlier picture shows it moved toward the rear of the car.
For info, the photo doesnt seem to have uploaded due to exceeding the maximum size. The maximum photo size should be 4MB. If the maximum size was below this perhaps you can let me know… otherwise perhaps resave it to a smaller size and try again ?
