Would anyone be able to let me have a photograph of the ‘crank nose piece’ that engages with the bevel box on the blown 2 Litre?
Or would anyone have one spare?
The standard L/C crank which engages directly with the dynamo has a female ‘dog tooth’ engagement on its nose piece i.e. the dynamo forms the male dog tooth engaging with the crank nose piece.
On blown cranks the arrangement is I believe reversed. The crank nose piece has the female dog tooth to engage with the bevel box. The dynamo drive remaining the same as the unblown 2 litre L/C on the output drive from the bevel box.
Any help/advice gratefully received
Thanks
Mark
(Y2 in the register)8 February 2009 at 10:56 #47518On reading the above description it should say:
On blown cranks the arrangement is I believe reversed. the crank nose piece has the ‘male’ (not female as typed above) dog tooth to engage with the bevel box.
Sorry about the earlier confused description
