    Hello,
In the process of rebuilding the engine from an LG6 and have been asked about valve stem seals. They were never fitted originally as far as I know, and the engine currently doesn’t have any fitted.
The question is does anyone fit them when rebuilding, and if so, what do they use? Or is this not recommended? The car only sees road use, if that might affect the answer.
    Many thanks in advance

Valve stem seals are not necessary however it is vital to seal the head studs with lots of PTFE tape to stop oil being sucked into the inlet manifold
