Bonjour mes amis,
We are an intrepid lot and have joined the French car club Vincennes en Anciennes so that we car participate in their annual Traversee de Paris on Sunday 2 August. We will be taking our LG45 so are praying that those militant French ferry and Eurotunnel workers don’t cause endless traffic jams either way.
Is anyone else in the club going? We don’t speak any French but are fluent in hand signals. We don’t understand any of their instructions except for the start time so are planning on turning up, smiling, and following everyone else. Anyway, it would be great to meet anyone from the club so please get in touch. Also, any advice or recent experience of the Eurotunnel crossing would be brilliant.

Not sure of current Calais situation, but last week we returned from the UK with our Riley via Newhaven-Dieppe; noted Paris (& Rouen) both signposted from there. We normally travel Dover-Calais but wished to avoid anything likely to promote overheating.
Haven’t heard of this event…at least traffic should be easy in Paris then, as, of course, all of Paris is away on holiday in August. Enjoy!

Well, we enjoyed last years Travers?e de Paris so much that we’re off to participate in the next one on Sunday 8th January 2017 as well.
Anyone else in the club a member of this group and planning on going?
