Anyone know the sizes etc of the 2 screws that secure the cap on the inboard end of the steering column (i.e. the cap carrying the horn button)? Both are missing on my car and the insulating tape holding the cap in place is hardly concours…
Thanks!
John
Brian Savill10 April 2008 at 20:24 #47259Hi John.
You do not state what model. I do know that the later 2 Litre and 16/80 has 4 screws that secure the boss that the horn button fits in. They are 3/16 inch Whit. (24 TPI) 5/8 long C/SK screws.
Hope this helps.

John Hugh15 May 2008 at 18:48 #47350Just to conclude this thread – in the early 2 litres (14/60 and HC tourer anyway), the 2 screws securing the cap are 5 BA (at least these worked for me, without obvious thread graunching..)
