I’ve heard of the “long arm of the law”, but it looks like long legs must have been necessary, to drive a car standing up!

Here’s another police car, this time a 3 1/2 litre! Photo taken in Sefton Park, Liverpool in 1937, complete with policemen

I’m restoring an M45 saloon from a kit of parts using an ST34 body remaining from another Le Mans replica project.
The chassis I purchased was originally supplied to ‘The Engineer – Scotland Yard’ and had an ST 24 body with cycle wings, a higher body than the normal M45 body, so the police could sit in the back with their helmets on!
Several cars were supplied throughout late 1934.
Does anyone have a photograph of such a car for my historical records.
    Thanks
    Peter

    Hi Peter
I believe the Metropolotan Police have a historical police car archive.
A quick google search brought up the following
