They sold for 11300 GBP. Location was Chichester, West Sussex.
Description:
“For sale are two Lagonda 3000cc saloons, one is 1952 (later corrected:1955) and the other is 1956. both come with extensive history a current log book (V5) and current sorn certificate dated until july next year. The registration numbers are RLT 794 and VPW 5 and as they are classified as historic vehicles they are road tax excempt. Both cars have had their engines removed and dismanteled in readiness for rebuilding one has been painted and the interior trim attended to. Included is a copy of the engine workshop manual, details of the Lagonda owners club as well as details of their extensive parts scheme. These cars are being sold as unfinished restoration projects as the previous owner has sadly passed away. They are being sold as collection only from West Sussex..”On 03-Oct-11 at 18:28:04 BST, seller added the following information:
“One of the cars is 1955 and not 1952 as previously stated. I have also established that there were only 403 of these cars built and only approximately 37 of these cars have survived . So as you can see this is a once in a lifetime chance to buy both of these cars for less than the price of a second hand Mondeo. These cars are only ever going to get older and rarer.I have also taken more pictures so if anyone would like to view them just forward your email address and I will send them to you.”TVJL17 October 2011 at 14:09 #48516I tried to obtain the chassis numbers from the seller but had not response.
