Hi Folks,
I am now the proud owner of an ENV 110 Gearbox which will eventually go in my barn find 16/80 project. It needs some work, can anyone advise me who to go to for this?

18 September 2014 at 09:38 #50995Hello Colin,
I must say that I am impressed with the speed of your project. My gearbox was reconditioned by C or G Whitehouse back in the 1970?s and touch wood it is still going strong.
They advertise in the back of THE AUTOMOBILE but for the life of me I have misplaced my copy.I don?t think they are cheap, but they have being going for some time now so I guess that speaks for itself.
By the way, have you looked inside a ENV 110 gearbox? it looks terrifying but once fully understood it is actually not so complex and other than bands wearing out it is only really springs that will need replacing if they are past the adjustment point of no return.
I don’t know how old or bad your box is, but it might only need a good clean, new oil and adjustment (probably new bands as well).Anyway, good luck and look forward to seeing you at the AGM
Best Regards

Graham Whitehouse is the top guy for pre-selectors, Cheap? depends whether you call having it built twice badly for 2/3 the cost each time a better option :o) We used to struggle with finding a really good quality rebuild on pre-selectors until we found Graham, He gives a good price guide and is always accurate and informative when he finds extra problems, and the really good thing is that he has a test rig and fully tests every box before letting it out. Top quality, Right price is how I would describe him.Best regards,
Julian

I spoke to Graham. He was very helpful and I thought the budgetary pricing was sensible, especially in light of what other have said here.
I need some bits for my box, mainly the input shaft and front casting. Can anyone help?
Good luck Julian, looking forward to continuing to enjoy your enthusiasm.
