Hello
I viend to file the bolt dema Lagonda dhc de1949 the number of engine series matches well to the plate of the car.
but when I measure the size of the cylinder that corresponds to a 2.2-liter engineI do not understand
SRD8 October 2013 at 20:11 #50450The diameter of a cylinder across the top from one side to the other should be approx. 78 mm. This is for the 2.6 litre engine.
if you post a picture with the cylinder head off, I can confirm if this is the correct engine.
You probably know already if you have removed the cylinder head, that the head gasket is copper, and a replacement will be needed and they are reasonably expensive.
ray sherratt8 October 2013 at 21:34 #50451I don`t under stand the need to leave carbon in the liner,
any carbon deposit leaves a risk for pre-ignition. So-long
as liners and pistons arn`t disturbed, there shouldn`t be
a problem. The gasket is a costley item but at nearly ?400
with the dreaded vat and p@p I wouldn`t call it reasonable.

I will send you pictures of the engine but I can not seem to post on the site
the engine will be rebuilt ( indiquermoi your email address to send photos)my problem is the size of the stroke are 72 minutes instead of 90 minutes
the diameter of the piston is 78 minutes as expected
this is a de2.2 liter engine instead of 2.6 which has answers to this ?SRD9 October 2013 at 07:12 #50453Send the pictures to my email address, and then I will post on here for you.
