I have just taken mine apart. The fronts were fitted an EN type ? ( with a flat bladder) with a “brake shoe” type setup, very cool! and the rears type HC , flat wood discs with brass . Is this correct for my M45? One of the rears is chromed.

My 1935 M45 had the same type of “brake shoe” dampers but on the front and the rear. Therefore both could be operated separately by the telecontrols. There were also the Hartford friction type (flat wood discs with brass) on the front. I understood that this “double” set up on the front was normal for the M45. Hope this helps !

The bladders appear to be in good shape but I will try them before installing .Can anyone report from experience how well these things work?
