An LG45 sanction 1 one has a Scintilla horizontal GN6 on the offside and a vertex on the nearside. In the 1960s my dear departed father fitted an Austin Healey distributor in place of the scintilla vertex, used the GN6 purely as a distributor, fitted coils both sides with both going through the single Austin Healey contact breaker. In later years he fitted electronic ignition to reduce the current through a single set a points. The car is currently undergoing a major rebuild, its first ever, apart from a rudimentary saloon to tourer conversion in the early 60s. The GN6 has been rebuilt to function as a magneto and I have acquired from the spares team an old scintilla vertex for the nearside which needs to be rebuilt. The GN6 has a manual control from the steering column for advance/retard. I am not clear what the arrangement is for the vertex. Any knowledge and/or advice out there?

You should have a bracket similar to pictured below, plus a similar type with an arm for attaching the control rod, both clamping to the mounting spigot of the Vertex. The one pictured is a spare so available if yours is missing.
