A pretty typical condition 3.0 litre Sports Saloon (Coupe) from 1955, seemingly supported by a strong pallet, suggesting the sills have been eaten by the tin mouse…

The car actually appears to be pretty complete, unusually at this end of the market, with engine. box, interior and instruments…

This car sold well given its seemingly poor condition at ?9000 +BP, making it around ?10,500 with all charges. Broadly inline with the complete but grotty 3.0 litre saloon at Bonham’s Oxford towards the end of last year.

This might suggest that these complete project cars are finally on the way up or that there is still strong demand for the 3.0 engine/boxes. I hope that it is the former, the Coupes have very sporting lines and look very elegant.
