The other two ‘barn find’ cars (a 2.6 DB and a Lancia) are also back on the market with the same trader.

I call it up for my early December visit to England and the car was sold at that point… I guess it unsold.

I wonder why the sale fell through? Francis, this could be you chance to swoop in and get it!

Mmmmm… Well, on the last occasion that the car was for sale Francis had this to say; “40 000 pounds is a hefty price to pay for a car that will eventually have to be dismantled completly for remake.” But, of course, for about twice the price he could buy 147? It seems to me that both cars, at the price(s) being asked, represent great opportunities that, IMHO, will be thought of as the stuff of dreams in but a few years’ time. As I’ve observed before, the values of these cars, and the DB4/5/6s, are rising at a huge rate of knots.

Sorry for my late reply. I did contact the seller of 125 but the re-listing was done in error… That was just before xmas. 147, I contacted but did not get an answer back. Are you saying they ask ?80 000 for it?

For all the gloomy forecasts that 125 would need total rebuild etc, it was out in public on 29 April at the DBR2 meeting in Essex. Pictures in the AMOC gallery, looks OK if you’re not into owning a concours queen

To be fair to him, Francis did say “eventually” need a total rebuild. I neglected to go to the DBR2 day (drat) but assume your ‘looks OK’ comment was deliberately ‘tongue in cheek’ David? Or, were you there and able to get ‘up close and personal’ with the beast?

No, not there but I have some photos not on the AMOC gallery courtesy of a fellow member who was there, and other enquiries are ongoing

Here is a link to the car, LR125, the car before mine :

    All chrome-work re-done and perhaps a light respray ?

This light color does no favour to the shape of the car , it requires imho, a strong body colour to make this car look fabulous.

Can’t tell anything else from this picture.

A good colour choice, Aaegen Blue, but at the moment I am biased!

Also good in Buckingham Green and not sure what colour LR117 is, but very, very impressive pictures on DB4 50th anniversary pictures.
