The 2025 Northern Dinner will take place on Friday 9th May, at the Izaak Walton Hotel in Dovedale, just north of Ashbourne. 2024 was a really great occasion with 53 diners so we have taken over the whole hotel for 2025 (rooms are available for booking now, at B&B rates of £120-135 for singles and £140 -157 for doubles) There are 35 rooms of different size and outlooks, which will be allocated by the hotel on a first come first served basis, so early reservation is suggested; there are about 5 ground floor easily accessed rooms.

Although it is the Northern Dinner it is very accessible being in the Peak District at Ashborne, which is midway between Derby and Stoke. A tour of the very scenic local countryside will be arranged for the Friday, starting around 10am.

Some members will stay for the Thursday night as well, when we usually eat together, though various dining options are available.  The hotel reservation is best made by phone- 01335 350981-  or preferably by email to the General Manager  – [email protected].
