I’m breathing a bit of life back into a 2.6 Lagonda and am in need of some new cam cover gaskets after some work. Can anyone recommend a supplier?

    Many thanks,
    Geoff

    Dear Geoff,

try Tim Stamper, http://www.stamper-astonmartin.com. He has almost everything for the DB 2.6/3ltr engines. Cam cover gasket was item 50172, price GBP 12.90 in my price list from 2009.
I do not know if these gaskets are good, I have sealed with liquid sealant

Attached is also a screenprint from an ebay search: a nice camshaft seal. Or I better should say the seal that connects the camshaft cover to the cover of the chain. Mine is still a rubber or cork part with added sealant. It looks like a good solution in case your camshafts are out anyway. I think you also can get it from fourashesgarage.co.uk
