The identification on our needles is SV. (LB 290/1 motors.)
I don’t know what Su parts are like to source in the UK, however we have an exellent fellow in Sydney, Bill Blessington of Midel Pty Ltd, with extensive stocks of new parts.

MarkPeter Reeves3 July 2008 at 09:28 #47396Hi Mark. Many thanks for that I was trying to tease out of those that know if there is an alternative set of needles to make the carb richer or if needed poorer but after off line discussions it would seem the needle you suggested is the correct one for these carb and to have the carb rich or poor is set within the tuning procedure. Yes we have a company here in the UK for SU bits for you information I have enclosed a link to the site with drawings of the carbs and parts in question.
