I spotted this car at Bonham”s Oxford a few weeks ago, not used since 1976, but very poorly stored, but it is complete.

Here is a link to the 1956 3.0 litre 4-door:

    http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/21274/lot/374/

    Registration no. UJH 999

    Chassis no. LB290/1/177

    Engine no. VB6H/582

Not on the road since 1976 !

The car had clearly sat in a very damp leaky garage, with water dropping over the roof and onto front bulkhead (hence very rusty, only par of the body work which is not ally, engine seized etc..

The car sold for ca. ?10,350 including premium. Someone must have been keen for the engine/box, clearly not a project for the faint hearted !

But, I would be delighted to be surprised that someone saw this car for what it is, a grand coach build car from the 1950’s…
