SUMMARY:Bluebells & Cowslips Run
DESCRIPTION:Gather at The Maybush for coffee and breakfast baps from 9:30 and set out with a roadbook of the route from 10:00. We shall be going by a slightly different 40 mile route from 2 years ago to lunch (with our own parking area) at the Cotswold Barn before going on another 6 miles to Chastleton House to look around and then perhaps have tea and cakes at the Brew House or St Mary’s church.  (Bring your NT membership cards if you have them)\n\nOwned by the same increasingly impoverished family until 1991\, this Jacobean country house has remained essentially unchanged for nearly 400 years as the interiors and contents gradually succumbed to the ravages of time. The main car park is a pleasant walk from the house but there is some “accessible” parking if you need it.\n\nNo formal booking but please let me know as soon as possible if you are planning to take part and how many people will be with you\, so I can pass the numbers on to the Maybush and the lunch stop.\nRegards \n\n\nKen

SUMMARY:Northern Dinner & Annual Prizegiving
DESCRIPTION:The 2025 Northern Dinner will take place on Friday 9th May\, at the Izaak Walton Hotel in Dovedale\, just north of Ashbourne. 2024 was a really great occasion with 53 diners so we have taken over the whole hotel for 2025 (rooms are available for booking now\, at B&B rates of £120-135 for singles and £140 -157 for doubles) There are 35 rooms of different size and outlooks\, which will be allocated by the hotel on a first come first served basis\, so early reservation is suggested; there are about 5 ground floor easily accessed rooms. \nAlthough it is the Northern Dinner it is very accessible being in the Peak District at Ashborne\, which is midway between Derby and Stoke. A tour of the very scenic local countryside will be arranged for the Friday\, starting around 10am. \nSome members will stay for the Thursday night as well\, when we usually eat together\, though various dining options are available.  The hotel reservation is best made by phone- 01335 350981-  or preferably by email to the General Manager  – ryan.wheeldon@izaakwaltonhotel.com. This should avoid any booking confusions. \nThe Friday dinner menu\, at £45 per head will be booked and paid for through the Club ‘Events’ website. Please click HERE to book your dinner at your earliest convenience. \nAny queries  – contact the Northern Secretary\, Nigel Hall\, on 07831 638383 or nigelhallgb@gmail.com (the email in the register is wrong!) \n

SUMMARY:West Midlands Pub Meet
DESCRIPTION:I have arranged a lunch meeting at the Old Bush\, Upton Road\, Callow End Worcestershire WR2 4TE. A family-run\, traditional country pub in Worcestershire.\nIf you travel from the Malvern road the entrance to the pub is on the right at the far end of the village. From Upton you will pass the entrance to Madresfield Court and then see the pub on your left as you enter the village.\n\nYou can choose what to eat on the day but please let me know if at all possible if you propose to attend as it helps the pub with numbers.\n\nBest wishes\,\nRobin.
