DESCRIPTION:Holding the event in the middle of the week proved a great success last year. Many local attractions can also be booked so visitors can enjoy a mini break touring the countryside. It’s also an easy drive from Harwich and we were very pleased to welcome a number of Continental visitors. We hope more will come this year. \nThere will be a coffee morning at the Club spares operation at Johnson’s Farm at Carlton near Saxmundham followed by a pub lunch in the Friston Chequers on Friday 11th July. Visitors are then invited to bring their cars to Friston Classics On The Green which takes place from around 1 pm on the 11th July. SUMMARY:Stansted Park Summer Festival SE Region
DESCRIPTION:We have been invited to attend Stansted Park\, a stately home on the Hampshire/Sussex border for their Summer Festival. We will be parked together to show off the cars and able to enjoy a picnic and the other attractions at the event. \nAlong with St Pauls Chapel\, their Garden Centre and light railway\, there will be a plethora of attractions! Napoleonic Reenactors with a full ‘living history’ camp\, live cavalry charges\, musket and cannon fire\, a jazz band and singer\, a full concert band\, roving musicians\, the Batala drummers\, a roving storyteller\, a forestry display\, Stansted Park crazy golf\, archery\, tractor trailer rides around the estate\, entertainment for younger (and older!) ones including a magician and circus performer and of course plenty of food and drinks. \nThe House and gardens will all be accessible. There will be a charge of £10 per car\, house entry is half price at £5 per person. \nPlease book with Catherine if you plan to attend. \n
