SUMMARY:The Annual Bosbury Bluebell Walk
DESCRIPTION:Lagonda Club members are warmly invited to the annual Bosbury Bluebell walk at Bosbury House Farm\, Bosbury near Ledbury HR8 1JZ from 2-5 p.m.\n\nWalk through the woods (stout footwear recommended) to admire the bluebells and then enjoy tea and cakes. Dogs on leads are welcome and there will be a fun dog show and a plant sale.\n\nCars over 40 years old allow their drivers in free\, also children under 16\, with others paying £5 in aid of the church and village hall.\nThere will be some interesting cars as well as ours. SUMMARY:Dartmoor Tour
DESCRIPTION:Arrivals are on 13th May\, departing on 15th May. \n2 nights based at Dartington Hall\, near Totnes\, easy to get to from the A38\, which is itself just off the M5\, with a tour on the amazing roads across\, around\, up and down the moor\, covering many of the best spots in Dartmoor. \nDouble and single rooms are available again. We had booked all of the available rooms\, but a cancellation means we have more available again. \nDartmoor is home to the tors\, lovely towns and villages\, Buckfast Abbey\, clapper bridges\, gorges\, prehistoric settlements\, etc\, etc. I’m devising various length routes. So you can mooch around one of the routes\, stopping as you please at some of the sights/walks/visits\, and maybe a treasure hunt to add extra interest. No pressure though – do as much or as little of it all as you like. \nDartington Hall is a destination in itself. It was the birthplace of Dartington Glass\, and the estate has its own pub\, cafes\, shops and gardens. The address is The Old Vicarage\, Murrells End\, Maisemore\, Hartpury Gloucester GL19 3DF. From Ledbury\, take the A417 and after driving through Hartpury turn right to Hartpury College and Maisemore.\nThe Old Vicarage is a mile further along on the right.\nArrive from noon onwards and bring your own picnic. Tea and coffee will be available.\n\nI can confirm that the gardens are delightful covering some two acres and include a summer house\, garden room and croquet lawn. There is a maximum space for twenty cars. Please give me names if you wish to attend-first come first served.

SUMMARY:Suffolk Lagonda Dinner
DESCRIPTION:The 47th Suffolk Dinner will take place at 7.30 pm on Friday 21st August 2026. Our hosts are Britten Pears Arts who run the famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall. This was opened by HM Queen Elizabeth. The River View Restaurant is part of this complex with a spectacular panoramic view over the reed beds towards Aldeburgh. \nBritten Pears Arts offer a number of B&B or self-catering accommodation options at the Snape Maltings. These should be booked via their website https://www.brittenpearsarts.org/visit-us/stay/snape-maltings-properties. This is high season\,  so book soon. For those who prefer five star hotel accommodation  in Aldeburgh\, secure parking for cars and taxis are available at the Maltings. \nThere will be a lot on at the Maltings in August. There are several performance venues as well as independent shops and galleries with river cruises and visits to the Red House also on offer. The Summer concert programme will be available on https://www.brittenpearsarts.org/ \nThere will be a coffee morning at the Club spares operation at Johnson’s Farm at Carlton near Saxmundham on Saturday 22nd August. \nAs with previous years\, many local attractions can also be booked so visitors can enjoy a mini break touring the countryside. It’s also an easy drive from Harwich and we will be welcome a number of overseas visitors. \nThe Dinner can be booked through the Club Website at £49 per head.
