Spring, clip, heater matrix cover retaining. Annealed then hardened after forming during the manufacturing process. Recommend painting for moisture protection. Used on all DB2.6 Mk I. For DB2.6 Mk II and 3 Litre check your spring against these dimensions: (close metric approximations) 1mm thickness, 7.75mm width, 112mm length.
