Subject: stop Press - Ditcham; Downland run and picnic, Sunday 17th
Date: Sat, 16 May 2015 09:00:03 +0100
The weather looks to be set fine for Sunday, we hope you can make this event. Whilst it was not obligatory, thank you to those who have already indicated that they are coming.
Because I have had a few questions about arrival time, I thought it appropriate to confirm that Jeremy and Margaret are expecting us from 12.00 onwards at The Tithe Barn, Old Ditcham Farm, 2 miles west of South Harting. The entrance will be duly sign posted.
The slight change is that Jeremy has arranged for Mike Thomas to be at his workshop from 12.00 to 1.00 so that members can see his trimming shop and have a chat about the services he offers. With this in mind Jeremy is happy to greet members from 11.30 onwards.
There is a Downland run starting at the coffee venue at the RSPB bird sanctuary on the A283 between Storrington and Pulborough where Georgina and I will be available to greet you from 9.30am, until 11.00am. At that time you have a choice of a splendid Downland drive of about 36 miles(just over an hour), or for the later ones a quicker trip direct to Ditcham of just 23 miles. Directions including lots of information about this fascinating run will be supplied at the coffee stop.
REMEMBER there is a prize for the 'correct' car travelling the longest distance. Please note your milometer reading before you set out.
Good luck, and we hope to see you with your picnic on Sunday,
Michael & Georgina
